HOUSING

SAU Tech provides housing, both on-campus and off- campus, in East Camden. The cost of the room includes: local phone service, basic satellite TV, utilities, trash pick-up, Internet access, and free laundry facilities. The housing is apartment style with a full kitchen.

How to Apply for Housing:

1. Complete a housing application.
2. Mail $100.00 deposit or deposit & full payment to the business office at the address on the application.
3. The student life office will contact you upon completion of step 2.
4. Make full payment for the semester.
5. Time permitting, a housing contract will be mailed to you otherwise it will be available on move-in day.
6. Once steps 1-4 above have been completed, notification of move-in date will be mailed. Notification of room assignments may not be available until move-in day.

NOTE: Rooms are reserved based on the date full payment is made and space availability. Room assignments are secured on a first-come, first-serve, basis with current residents having priority.

Deposit
The housing deposit is refundable if you remain in housing until at least two weeks prior to the move-out date for the semester, as long as there are no damage charges or clean-up fees. If damage exists, in excess of $100.00, you will be responsible for the additional costs. For more information, call: 870.574.4519. Spring 2012 Semester
January 3	Spring deadline to cancel housing payment without losing deposit
January 5	New Residents deadline to pay for Spring housing in order to move in on January 8
January 8	Housing move-in 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Dayroom on campus)
January 10	Mandatory meeting, cookout and fire safety demonstration 4:00 pm
January 11	Spring Classes Begin
March 19 -23	Spring Break
April 2	Accepting Summer/Fall housing payments
April 11	Mandatory meeting 4:00 pm
April 30	Summer payment deadline for returning residents to remain in housing for summer
May 3	4:00 pm deadline to move-out

*The Director of Student Life and the Housing Manager are the only ones who can excuse residents from these meetings. If you do not have permission to miss the meeting, you may be charged fines. Any hosing staff member may call mandatory meetings as deemed necessary for the residents (students).

Price List

Rooms are available in two price ranges:

Single occupancy room (If available) - $1,650 per semester per person
Double occupancy room - $1,100 per semester per person

Other considerations

A suite contains two bedrooms that share a kitchen and bathroom with occupant(s) of the other room.
Prices are subject to change.
Students who have not made payment will not be allowed to move into housing on the scheduled move-in date.
If you have a physical disability, the housing office must be notified 10 days before the Fall or Spring semester begins.
